1. The founding members of the Alliance are categorized into academic and research units, healthcare units and industrial units; the founding members are invited or recommended by the initiating unit to join the Alliance with the consent of the Council of the Alliance.
2. The Alliance serves as a platform for members that encourages high-level cooperation among the international industry, academia and research of traditional medicine, Areas of cooperation include, but are not limited to, talent cultivation, scientific research, knowledge transfer, industrial transformation, policy consultation, and technical advisory services, etc.
3. The Alliance regularly organises activities of different natures to promote exchanges and cooperation among its members. The activities are primarily initiated and supported by the initiating and founding members of the Alliance. The costs associated with these activities are shared or jointly borne by the participating members, as well as seeking support from organizations and/or funding bodies for grants and donations. Members of the Alliance shall actively support the activities of the Alliance and perform their responsibilities.
4. The Alliance encourages cooperation among members from academic, research, healthcare and industrial sectors. Certain members of the Alliance are authorized to establish bilaterial or multilateral cooperation agreements. With prior written consent of the Council, members are allowed to sign cooperation agreements or apply for government and social support on behalf of the Alliance.
5. The Secretariat of the Alliance is set up at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and each initiating member establishes a sub-secretariat led by representatives of the Alliance appointed by the President or Vice-President of the Alliance. The Secretariat maintains regular communication with members to publish information and organize activities.
6. The Alliance is not a separate legal entity and does not assume legal responsibility for the actions and outcomes of its members or their cooperation. Members are required to comply with the laws and regulations of their respective jurisdictions.
